It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It snowing today! I get excited the first couple of time it snows. After a few months though I get tired of it. It would be nice to have a white Christmas. I'm supposed to meet my mom in Portland this week to pick up my Christmas decorations. Not exactly convenient I know, but she and ma store things for me that we don't have room for in our apartment. I suppose, someday when we get a house, I'll have to take it all back, or maybe I can hold a giant lawn sale!! I need to go Christmas shopping soon and start thinking up Christmas goodies I can make.
I had another interview over the weekend for a community health center in boston. It was a strange interview, but I think it went well. It was another one where they woman didn't really ask me a lot of questions...we swapped stories about grad school, previous jobs, and she wanted to know where some scenic places in maine were that would be good to visit...no questions about my approach to working with kids, no questions to see if i knew what i was talking about....i think she just read my resume and took for granted that i was being honest. I was, but still, you'd think they'd want to make sure....I would love to get the job...at this point, i would love to get any job, but i enjoy working with kids, and it sounds like i'd have a chance to really do some good work, and it has a good salary....we'll have to see....in fairness to her and her interview style, she is leaving the position because she just had a baby. She thought she would go back to work afterwards, but has decided that she would rather spend the time with the little one. I think her head just isn't in the working game at this point.
They said it will be 2 weeks before I hear back from them. Everyone seems to be taking their time with making hiring decisions. I think they assume that nobody will want to start working during the holidays and that it will be a pain to train someone too when everyone's going on vacations and stuff. Most of them are saying they want someone to start in January. I would love to start tomorrow, but as long as i get a chance to do something soon, i wont complain.
I'm trying to be a little more chill about getting a job... I needed to hear the sermon at church this week. It was very helpful. It was saying that sometimes we think God doesn't know what he's doing because from our perspective our lives can look all messed up, but really, he does know what he's doing. We just can't see the big picture. He has a purpose and we just have to trust him. I'm trusting and praying that the Lord will put me where I need to be.
